The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and engaged Community & Events Coordinator to structure, animate, and grow the ASTONFLY student and alumni community.

Reporting directly to the Airlines Partnership department, you will play a key role in developing our talent ecosystem and strengthening the connection between the school, its alumni, and its partners in the aviation industry. This cross-functional role will involve leading high-visibility initiatives, organizing flagship events, and embodying the ASTONFLY community experience.

Your mission: Build an active and engaged community around Astonjob.com by animating the student and alumni network, organizing impactful events, and promoting career opportunities to support employability and enhance the school’s visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Community Management & Platform Administration

    • Manage and develop the Astonjob.com platform

    • Import, structure, and update student and alumni databases

    • Ensure data quality and audience segmentation

    • Drive engagement and platform usage

  2. Event Management

    • Organize and coordinate ASTONFLY events:

      • Afterworks

      • Integration week

      • Wings ceremony

      • Gala

      • Networking events

    • Manage logistics, vendors, and invitations

    • Ensure smooth execution and post-event follow-up

  3. Communication & Content

    • Publish content related to aviation industry news

    • Highlight students, alumni, and school life

    • Manage communications around events and community initiatives

  4. Job Opportunities Management

    • Publish and promote job opportunities (especially pilot roles)

    • Maintain relationships with recruiters and partners

    • Ensure the quality and relevance of job postings

  5. Email Campaigns & Newsletters

    • Design and send email campaigns

    • Write newsletters for students and alumni

    • Segment audiences effectively

    • Track performance (open rates, clicks, engagement)

Job requirements

You must have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in communication, marketing, event management, or project management

  • A first successful experience in community management, digital communication, or event organization

  • A good command of digital tools (CRM, emailing tools, CMS, community platforms)

  • Excellent writing skills in French and a good command of English

  • An interest in the aviation sector or in education/alumni environments is a plus

You are also:

  • Autonomous, well-organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Creative, proactive, and comfortable producing engaging content

  • Dynamic, with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine sense of service and community

  • Comfortable organizing events and coordinating multiple stakeholders

  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
